Island Impact Outreach Ministries-(Day 3 & Day 4)

Daily Vacation Bible School And so it began love is the key… and we soon found out we needed this above all as we entered our first day of Daily Vacation Bible School (D. V. B. S). Into six group: beginners, primary, junior boys/girls, intermediate boy/girls, senior high boys/ girls…It was just a get to know you session and introducing of the theme: Jehovah Rohi- the Lord our shepherd.

I was given the opportunity to bring the first lesson and therefore the focus was on God being the Shepherd. Recognizing that the shepherd has a voice, we His sheep ought to obey. We then went to our individual classes, my class being intermediate- 12- 14 girls.

After the dismissal of the first session of D. V. B. S. we had our lunch and we were off for street evangelism.
street evangelism

Combing the street of Barrouallie proved to be a very rewarding experience for us all. For those who have not yet traveled that road, and even those who have.

All we have is now to do all we can now, and armed with bibles, tracks, and a pleasant Barbadian smile and accent we went forth to advance God’s Kingdom.

Monday evening devotion challenged us above to be in unity. We observe why we did not unite due to our pride, jealousy, envy or fear. Sis. Stephanie then encouraged us to have a recognized need to have unity in our speech, communication and purpose. For it was not about us, but unity was about God’s will.

Date: Tuesday 25th July 2006 (Day 4)

Devotions encouraged us to be strong in the Lord as we entered day two of D.V.B.S. Faced with this confession that we stand in need of God’s strength we entered in. D.V.B.S was it’s usual passing with our focus being on Jesus- Jehovah Rohi- The Lord who provides-
I was able then to share with the class some of my own personal testimonies of how God provided for me, and how He can provide for them. Then we were off to get ready for the evening session.

Ministry was the call as Brother Michael admonished us it was time to change St. John 5: 6. Jesus came on the scene: he recognized his condition, initiated a conversation, listened to his confession, exhibited compassion and completed his transition. So IIOM ministered I am a friend of God, (this became our theme song), and as the night progressed one thing was evident the spirit of the Lord was moving as we came forward to be prayed for and to confess and declare our healing.
Indeed signs and wonders will follow, back at base, not but a stone throw away from the church, Brother Travis admonished us to desire 1 John 3:8b that which was written…. To see God magnified in us.
