Sawyer PointOne water distribution
in St Marc-
The Sawyer Point One Filter is the fastest, easiest
and most cost efficient way to get potable water.
|
Following the earthquake that
devestated Haiti, United Caribbean Trust has distributed over
250 Sawyer PointOne filters.
At Maranatha Ministries we distributed 17
filters to 17 different churches.

Since 1984 Sawyer has dedicated
itself to finding the best solutions to outdoor protection:
sun, bugs, water, and injuries.

in St Marc distributing filters to the Kids' EE pastors that
were trained during the St. Marc Kids'
EE summer training camp.

The pastors and teachers were delighted
with their donations, thanks to the people of Barbados who so
generously gave to enable us to extend this excellent effort. |
Not only do the filters offer
the highest level of filtration available but are low cost,
a family unit including a 8 gal bucket cost US $50 including
transportaion and an institution package with a 30 gal bucket
and tap is US $100.

10 main established distribution
depots have been identified, these represent ministries or
churches from the departments of Haiti each capable of feeding
150 children per day.
All of these churches have undergone Kids'
EE or Adult EE training. Some assistance will be required
to increase their capacity to handle the additional requirements
of the internally displaced peoples. |
Kids' EE committees
were established this summer in over 11
Kids' EE Summer Camps, as Jenny Tryhane and Pastor Banes
trained 500 key persons, from 300 different ministries, churches
and orphanages including pastors, Sunday school teachers, principles
of schools and school teachers in Kids' EE. These key persons
will now take responsibility to administer this program through
out their local community. |
