Make Jesus Smile -

United Caribbean Trust (UCT) embarked on its fourth Make Jesus Smile Christmas shoebox project St Gabrials School

United Caribbean Trust (UCT) embarked on its fourth Make Jesus Smile Barbados Christmas shoebox project.

We want to thank the Sunday schools, and the Primary and Secondary schools of Barbados that got involved in this fourth Christmas initiative enabling us to send 2,500 shoeboxes to Haiti.

UCT has always used the 'shoeboxe gifts' as a children's evangelism tool and out of this simple ministry thousands of children have given thier lives to Jesus.

On behalf of all my brothers and sisters in Haiti I want to say a great

BIG thank you!

'Make Jesus Smile' means so much to a needy child. These children will recognize that someone, another child from within the Caribbean, whom they will probably never meet, cared enough to send a gift and a Christmas card to them.

Thanks to Charles F Broome who once again produced hundreds of beautifully wrapped and packed boxes.

This kind act of generosity will bring joy, hope and a little of God’s love into a desperately poor situation and can cause both the children who send the gifts and those who receive them to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

The Rock Christian School must get first prize for the best wrapped boxes.

By wrapping the lid of the box separate to the bottom and filling it with a range of small items suitable for a child of your chosen gender and age range, you can send a ‘shoe box of hope’ to Haiti

The Rock Christian School must get first prize for the best wrapped boxes. Theirs were most imaginative and focused on the Independence of Barbados and all things Bajan.

These became Boxes of Hope after the earthquake as we were able to distribut into the tent cities and the places most needing a little ray of hope in this dismal time of dispair.
