Church of God of Prophecy Teacher Training Camp-

Haiti Church of God of Prophecy Kids EE Summer Camps

Thanks to the Church of God of Prophecy in Port Salut that hosted the first ever Teacher Training Camp in this area.

The camp comprised of 75 teachers from 46 different ministries and 100 children from the church and local area were invited on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for On The Job Training.

The camp started off with some rousing praise and worship.

The children learned how powerful the Word of God was, so powerful it can change lives.

The Scripture Fun Fair was a wonderful way to learn some very important Bible verses and at the end all the children had the 11 main verses that make up the Kids' EE program.

These are called the Power Pack and they were encouraged to share these with their family and friends and to bring them back each day.

After the Scripture Fun Fair all the teachers took one or two children and shared the Gospel Presentation using the Farley Cards.

These will be coloured over the course and present a bright interesting visual aid to sharing the Salvation message with the children and teaching them how they can share the Gospel Presentation with their friends.

This is the introduction to Unit 2 and the children had great fun making their big glasses and big ears.

The teachers interviewed the children in small assignment groups.

Developing relationships with the children and assessing their Spiritual level.

The children leaned about the Bare Bones the basics that they will build on adding Scripture verses and illustrations over the days of the camp.

The Bare Bones Bookmarks were the take home truth for this Unit and the children enjoyed creating them.

The back of the markers were coloured in special colours to remind the children of the stages and steps to follow in the Gospel Presentation.

Jezi = Rouj (San Jezi)

Fwa = Blan (Netwaye ,pirifye)

Reskonsability = Vèr (Grandi)

On Thursday the children got involved in making the Sin Paper Chain.

Adding the Scriptures verse Romans 6 v 23a and Romans 6 v 23b to each end of the chain.

As always there was great excitement and the kids enjoyed posing for their pictures.

The Balloon Bouquet always cased a stir and we thank Laurie Dash Toy Shop in Barbados for donating the balloons for all 11 Summer Camps.

As the children read the Scripture verses they learned the character of God...

The children loved the skits and drama actively getting involved and cheering on...

The Bank Robber illustration was used to explain the concept that 'God is just'.

The children learned that there is a standard of justice that requires that every crime committed should be paid for.

It is the same with God. He has a standard for justice that requires a payment for all sin.

General Garcia

The General Garcia drama was used to illustrate God's love and justice both being demonstrated.

The children realized that we are very like the old lady, General Garcia's mother. We have all sinned and deserve to be punished.

But just like Garcia, God spared us of that punishment through Jesus who died in our place and paid the full price for all of our sins.

The boys were very creative and enjoyed making the 'take home truth' for the God section.

The two big hands demonstrated that on one hand God is loving and He does not want to punish us but on the other hand God is just and He must punish sin.

The children were encouraged to share with others what they leaned about God by using the crafts.

As always the Jesus crowns were the most popular craft and the children all wanted their pictures taken.

Funding is needed to assist us with materials such as crayons, card, paper glue and tape for the hundreds of churches, schools and orphanages that have now been trained and prepared to establish the Kids' EE program in the various areas including Port Salut.

The teachers were taught various methods of teaching the children the Bible verses that are part of the Gospel Presentation. Demonstrations such as ball games, verse jumble hand clapping chants to name a few were used to add variation and excitement to the learning process.

The big footprints caused a big stir and the children were eager to get involved.

The Two Chair Skit is a dramatic visual demonstration of the fact that at some stage a commitment is needed,

It is impossible to be on both sides. We cannot trust JESUS alone and trust in ME at the same time.

At this stage the children are given the opportunity to give their lives to Jesus.

55 children made commitments and were taken by the teachers who prayed for them and filled out their certificates. These names were given to the host pastor and the children got to keep their certificates which they all happily posed with.

At the end of the camp they completed their Gospel Bead Bracelets. Using the same colours as the Bare bone Bookmarks.

These can be used to share the Gospel with their friends. They are reminded that telling others about Jesus is important if we want to grow in our Faith.
