4th week of our Journey - Little Wiggly Fingers

‘Mystery Clue’ Witnessing Tool:
• Little Wiggly Fingers (Visual aids provided for Teacher in the Visual Aid Manual)
• Coco-Gospel-Nuts (Visual aids provided for Teacher in the Visual Aid Manual)

AS KIDS ARRIVE PRIOR TO THE LESSON:
Welcome Teacher/Trainers, Trainers and students. As the children arrive give six of them the finger visual aids to colour. Ensure they each have their Treasure Chest (shoebox) to store all their treasure.

1. GAMES: (10 minutes)
The Price is Right: 8 inexpensive items from around the house, like a bottle of lotion, mirror, sponge, candy bar, box of soap, etc. Give each item a value (price) close to the actual cost and write it down in black ink on one side of a large index card. On the other side in red ink, write down an estimated amount that is either higher or slightly lower than the actual price. Try to have about half of the estimated amounts higher, and half lower. Fold the index cards into tents so the red estimated amounts are showing.

Make a card for the Bible also, with the actual value being what the Bible may have actually cost, and the estimated amount slightly higher. Then make a card for the heaven poster, with the actual value being $0 and the estimated amount $1,000,000 +. Display all the items in a row on a table with the Bible in the 9th spot and Heaven in the 10th spot. As the children guess the price have some treats for successful guesses, at the end remind them that Heaven is a FREE gift.

2. TEAM GAMES: (10 minutes)
Fishing Game: For the "water" use a large appliance box, hang a sheet to cover a table so that the "fish" (the person under the table) are hidden from view. Tie a string to a stick and attach a clothespin on the end of the string. Children take turn "casting" the line into the "water". The person in the "water" puts small gifts, candy on the clothespin and then tugs the string to signal that there is a "fish" on the line. Then kids pull up the line and retrieve their prize.

3. ACTIVE PRAISE CHORUS: (10 minutes)

4. INTIMATE WORSHIP: (5 minutes)

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, every good gift we receive comes from You and the greatest gift is eternal life brought down to us through your Son. Father, we thank you that we can receive this gift by saving Faith.
Jesus, thank you for coming to give your life as payment in full for my sin. I gratefully accept your gift of eternal life. Father, help us to show Jesus' love as He showed your love. Help us to follow His example and go out and be fishers of men. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

5. TEACHING:
a) “Back Track”

• March - The Journey of Life Military Cadence (Get children up and marching)
• ON THE RIGHT TRACK! You never see a trailer in front of a tractor! (Get volunteers to come up and go through the trailers - Heaven, Sin/Man, God, Jesus, Faith, Growth)
• What size is the gate that leads to life? (small)
• What is the road like that only a few find? (narrow)
• Can you remember last weeks Sword Play verse? (Matthew 7:14)
• Optional: Sing Show me your ways (Use video music and lyrics from Visual Aid Manual)

b) Sword Play
Ready…Swords up… Psalm 144:1…( CHARGE!) (Wave the Power Sword)
Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. (Psalm 144:1)

(Use hand motions to help teach the verse)

(Give out the Sword Play Tracks one for each child, junior and senior)

c) Teaching the Lesson

` – Little fingers on my hand … there to help me understand!
(Our fingers are like little wiggly worms, wriggle all 10 fingers bait to catch our fish!)

THE GOSPEL PLAN:

The Bible also says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

The Bible says … “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Jesus said ... “Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48).

HOW DO WE GET THIS GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE? - BY FAITH!

Cut our the 10 Coco-Gospel-Nuts attach strips of paper to them to make them into rings. Place them on the tips of all 10 fingers. Today we are going to share the Gospel Plan using the Coco-Gospel-Nuts.

“Fishing Trips”
This session we have learnt how to fish and the ‘Mystery Clues’ are like the ‘bait’ on the end of the hook like our wiggly fingers. (Wiggle fingers from both hands) Fisherman uses a bait to tempt a fish into biting. If the fish gives in to temptation, he gets caught. Satan does much the same thing to us he tries to lure us into sinning by making things that are bad for us look good. Satan tempts everybody in fact he even tempted Jesus. But Jesus said, No" to Satan's temptation. And he wants us to say, No", too. Jesus said, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” In other words, when you're tempted to sin, don't bite!

6. APPLICATION/ENCOUNTERING GOD: Refer to our Encountering God Handbook for ideas for this important section of the session. Experience the Holy Spirit Learning Centers creating an atmosphere.

CLOSING PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to be good fishers for people – willing to go with our bait, patiently waiting, and trusting you to bring in the catch, we want all of our friends to know about Jesus and His love for them. Amen.
