AS YOUTH ARRIVE PRIOR TO THE LESSON:
Welcome Teacher/Trainers and students. Get one of the youth to colour the Bible Memory Verse Visual Aid (crayons provided)

3.TEACHING:

a) Review

This is the beginning of a new series so there is no review, if however this follows on from other Pastor Jerry Dirmann’s teachings then a short time to review is always helpful.

b) Sword Play

And you shall love the Lord your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.

Divide the youth into six groups, allocate each group to a part of the Bible Verse. Point to the group and get them to shout out their part of the group. Next round they have to whisper it. Next round they have to say it in a very high pitch voice. Next round they have to say it in a very deep voice etc etc. (Make it fun and have a laugh as you learn the Word of God))

4. APPLICATION/ENCOUNTERING GOD:
Set up the Laptop connected to the sound system to play soft worship music to set the atmosphere.

We learnt this week that sexual perversity destroys, through lust, sexual addiction, this sort of lady sets a trap, she is looking for the ones trying to be pure.

If you get into the Word, and hide the Words in your heart they will keep you from falling to the seductress that flatters you, will validate you, will affirm you and trap and trick you. This works with men or women, words that she/he sucks up and enters into an emotional affair.

If the thought comes into your mind, and then it can be taken down the path of connecting with the person, this is a spirit of lust that puts things into your mind. Reject them, cast down imaginations. Recognize these ways in advance, when you feel that attraction, especially if the person is not a believer. The Bible tells us not to be unevenly yoked. You need to see that person as a person that is associated with death.

Proverbs 2:19
19 None who go to her return, Nor do they regain the paths of life—

If you go down that path, you will never get back to where you were. There will be things that will be loss, and cannot be regained. If this applies to you, get into the Word, and the Truth will set you free.
How do we do that by loving not the immoral woman but the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

Let us have a quiet time of reflection for everyone to search their heart and see if there is any sin there that needs confession. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleans us from all unrighteousness.

CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father we know sexual sin will destroy our lives. Give us discretion, wisdom that keeps us from future trouble. Help us Lord if a thought comes into our minds that should not be there, a perversion, an imagination, we reject them, cast down imaginations. We recognize Lord Jesus that these thoughts and these attractions, especially for a person that is not a believer, are not of You. The Bible tells us not to be unevenly yoked. Help us to see that person as a person that is associated with death, our destruction, our downfall. Help us Lord to get into the Word, knowing that the Truth will set us free from the bondage of the spirit of lust.
