Volcanic Eruption - Lesson #10

By the end of this lesson the child should be able to:

• Tell you about the 'Armor of God'
• Understand Strongholds
• Share about 'Open Doors'
• Pray the 'Proclamations'
• Recite their Memory Bible Verse.

AS KIDS ARRIVE PRIOR TO THE LESSON (10 minutes) ACTIVITY
Optional: Get children to colour the Bible Verse Visual Aids

Supplies needed:
• Print two swords, cut them out and mount them on card. Bible Verse Visual Aid.
• Print 'Stronghold list', 'Open Door list' and 'Proclamations' or the older chidren or youth..
• Print 'Bible Verse Visual Aid' and get a child to colour it prior to the class.
• Print 'Knock Knock' track
• Print the 'Activity Book'
• Print the 'Take Home Bible Memory Verse'
• Print Chapter #10 'And Puppy' one for each child.
• Print 'Don't be discouraged' flip chart
• Print the 'Warfare Prayer' for the older chidren or youth.

1. GAMES: (10 minutes) - PASS THE SWORD:

Have children sit in a circle and play "musical sword".

As the music plays, or the drum beats, the children will pass the sword and when the music/drum stops, the child holding the sword, will read the Bible verse

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

The child then will sit out and the chair is removed and the game continues.

2. TEAM GAMES: (10 minutes))
Do an army cadence left, left, left, right, left.

I AM IN GOD'S ARMY TOO (I am in God's army too);

HE'S MY KING AND THAT IS TRUE (He's my King and that is true);

I'LL WEAR THE ARMOR OF MY GOD (I'll wear the armor of my God);

AND DO ALL THAT HE SAYS TO DO (and do all that He says to do)....
(Repeat as the children march around the room)

3. ACTIVE PRAISE CHORUS: (10 minutes)

4. INTIMATE WORSHIP: (5 minutes)

5. TEACHING:
a. Review the memory verse(5 minutes)

2 Corinthians 5: 17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things pass away; behold all things become new. (Demonstrate using Visual Aid from last week)

b. Learn a Bible Verse (5 minutes)
Divide the class into 6 groups get each group to say a part of the verse. Repeat standing, sitting, jumping, shouting, whispering etc

Introduction:

In any League Baseball game there is one player that has some very special equipment. That's the catcher. This is a very dangerous spot right behind the batter and needs special equipment for protection.

The Bible teaches us that you and I need protection in the game of life and it tells us that we need the armor of God to protect us from Satan's evil schemes.

UNFORGIVENESS: Towards people that have hurt you, been nasty to you, bullied you, told lies on you, got you into trouble unfairly.

OCCULT: (example: reading Harry Potter books and watching the movies, watching magic movies and demon video games, Halloween parties.)

SEXUAL SIN: People you have been sexually involved with including petting, and foreplay, acts of masturbation. Anyone that has interfered with you.

SOUL TIES: People that have had an ungodly control over you. This may include bad mothers, wicked fathers, step parents, brothers/sisters.

PRIDE: (Example: do you feel you have a better family than others, a better house, better car, go to a better school, better grades than others etc.)

IDOLATRY: What stands between you and God. (Example: spending too much time watching TV, playing on your phone, talking on the phone etc.)

UNCONFESSED SIN: (Example: pray and ask God to forgive you for all of your sins, list them). Any unconfessed sin will hinder your deliverance.
