For urban families involved in the Family Empowerment Programme, we are introducing a sewing project in Les Cayes to enable the youth to be trained in sewing as part of their Vocational Training.

UCT would like to see this project extend with adequate funding into other areas of Haiti.

Seen here and below the ladies in the UCT Tanzania sewing program.

10 sewing machines will be established in Les Cayes in our Vocational Training School.

Here the youth will be training and will eventually sew the school uniforms for the orphanages within our programme.

These ladies will also sew an exclusive range of luxury beach clothing.

Barbadian companies will market these products to the boutiques in the luxury hotels on the south and west coast of Barbados.

A selective brand of luxury softfurnishings called 'The Seed' will be hand painted by the artist in Haiti and sold to the top decor designers in Barbados. Proceeds will be channeled back to Haiti to sustain the Vocational Training programs.
