4. APPLICATION/ENCOUNTERING GOD:
Set up the Laptop connected to the sound system to play soft worship
music to set the atmosphere.
The grace of God is given to us not only to forgive us but to give
us the strength to not continue to live in that lifestyle anymore.
It is not given for us to just keep saying sorry and carrying on
as usual. You are then deceived that you are saved.
If Jesus really is your Lord and Master and you have an honest
heart you will not be able to carry on in your old ways.
True repentance gives place to the grace of God, to breakthrough
in our lives, Godly sorry produces repentance leading to salvation,
not just saying a little ‘sinners prayer’ and think
we are born again but deliverance and freedom. And He will give
you the strength to live the life you need to life to glorify God.
Encourage the youth to come forward to the alter for a time of
repentance. Some may want to give their lives to Jesus, some may
want to recommit their lives to the Lord. Minister with your alter
workers accordingly.
CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father we thank you that
although Jesus never sinned, He saw it fit to follow God’s
plan for man by being baptized in water so that He could be an example
to man. Thank you Jesus for humbling yourself and allowing John
to baptize you. We know God that you are pleased with us when we
obey You – thank you Holy Spirit for helping us to become
obedient to God in the same way the dove came upon Jesus and God
said He loved Him and was delighted in Him, let our lives be a delight
to You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
