# 38th week of our Journey – LOVE
This week’s destination: Fruit of the Spirit - LOVE
This is the first and greatest commandment but to keep it we must
first appreciate the immeasurable love God has for us.
Super Fruit for this week is the Mango
Each week the children will be given a Super Fruit handbook to take
home to show the amazing health and nutritional benefits and uses
of the leaves and fruit, including preparation information.
NEXT WEEK: We will learn about
JOY. There is a difference between joy and happiness. Happiness
is based upon “happenings,” if good things happen, you’re
happy, but if bad things happen we are unhappy. Not so with joy,
joy is a deep inner experience not determined by circumstance. The

of the Spirit - KINDNESS
This week’s destination: Fruit of the Spirit - KINDNESS
This week we’re going to learn that kindness starts with caring,
having a good attitude—being tender hearted and compassionate
toward others.

NEXT WEEK: We will learn in detail
more of the ‘Fruit of the Spirit’. We’re going
to learn that "GOODNESS is doing the right thing for the right
reason." Kindness is more about our attitude and goodness is

of the Spirit - GOODNESS
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus talks about a good tree & a
bad tree. He says that the "good tree produces good fruit,
but a bad tree produces bad fruit" (Matthew 7:17)
So the question is …"What kind of fruit
are we producing?"

of the Spirit - FAITHFULNESS

“The Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to
anger, abounding in love and faithfulness”.
(Exodus 34:6b)
God took the first step in your Salvation.
Because He is faithful, He keeps up His side of the relationship
even when I don’t! Because He is faithful, I can depend on
Him, count on Him and look for Him to come through for me in every
circumstance. God is faithful to His promises, we should be faithful
to ours.

Paul tells the Philippians’ “Let your gentleness
be evident to all.” (Philippians 4: 5a)
Jesus models gentleness to us by calling all of those who are tired
and suffering to find rest in Himself. He gently leads us, like
a Shepherd with His sheep.
