Session 14 Seven Key End-Time Events and Trends (Dan. 12:1-10) I. THE LORD’S VIEW OF THE FUTURE (DAN. 12:1-10) 30Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say…, “First gather the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Mt 13:30) Optimum environment: Jesus called His people “to
see” the abomination of desolation Paul and John elaborated on it 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of ]sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2 Thes. 2: 3-4) 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast,
that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many
as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He
causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave,
to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17
and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the
name of the beast, or the number of his name. Daniel about the end times, speaking of the Antichrist’s activities related to the abomination of desolation 31“They shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation… 32But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits [miracles]. 33And those of the people who understand shall instruct many…34When they fall [martyrdom], they shall be aided with a little help…35Some of those of understanding shall fall [martyrdom], to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end…” (Dan. 11:31-35) Daniel 12:1-10 describes the full and final deliverance of God’s people 1At that time Michael shall stand up…and there shall be a time of trouble [Great Tribulation], …At that time your people shall be delivered…2Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake [resurrection]…” 3Those who are wise shall shine like brightness…and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever…10Many shall be purified…11From the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is setup, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days [1,290 days].(Dan.12:1-11) II. SEVEN KEY END-TIME EVENTS AND TRENDS (DAN. 12:1-10) #1 Time of trouble: 1“At that time…there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time”…7 [an angel] swore…that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time [3½ years]… when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered… (Dan. 12:1, 7) 5 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. (Dan. 11:45) Great Tribulation: 15“…when you see the ‘abomination of desolation’…21There will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time…22And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved [from physical death]…” (Mt. 24:15-22) Some shall fall in martyrdom 33…they shall fall by sword…35Some of those of understanding shall fall [martyrdom], to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; (Dan. 11:33-35) Falling away: 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, (2 Thes. 2:3) #2 God’s people delivered: 1“…your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book.” (Dan. 12:1) 34“…when they fall [martyrdom], they shall be aided with a little help…” (Dan. 11:34) 19 But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and
brought them out #3 Eternal rewards: 2…those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake [resurrection]…to everlasting life…3Those who are wise shall shine…those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever. (Dan. 12:2-3) Jesus emphasized this promise 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (Mt. 13:43) #4 Supernatural ministry: 32But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits [miracles]. (Dan. 11:32) Much angelic activity by Michael and his angels 7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Rev. 12:7-9) A global outpouring of the Spirit 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward Michael shall stand up: Michael fought the demonic principality of Persia or Iran 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 21 But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. (No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince. (Dan. 10:13, 21) Angels intervened to help the saints in the book of Acts 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, (Acts 1:10) 19 But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and
brought them out, 26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (Acts 8:26a) 3 About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” (Acts 10:3) 7 Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” 9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. 23 Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died. (Acts 12:7-10, 23) 23 For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, (Acts 27:23) 7And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon…9The great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil…he was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out…12Woe to the inhabitants of the earth…The devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (Rev. 12:7-12) Prophetic spirit: 17“It shall come to pass in the last days…that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions... 18I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.” (Act 2:17-18) #5The wise: 33And those of the people who understand shall instruct many. (Dan. 11:33) 3Those who are wise shall shine…those who turn many to righteousness like the stars… 10…and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. (Dan. 12:3, 10) 20The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. In the latter days you will understand it perfectly. (Jer. 23:20) #6 Harvest: 32The people who know their God shall be strong…35Some of
those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them,
and make them white, until the time of the end… 9“…a great multitude which no one could number, of
all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne…14These…come
out of the great tribulation.” #7 Righteousness: 3…turn many to righteousness…10Many shall be purified, made white…(Dan. 12:3, 10) Know God: 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves
Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love
him and manifest Myself to him.”
