Types and Shadows - INDEX

This six part Types and Shadows Series starts off with the Passover lamb as a‘Type’or a ‘Shadow’ of Jesus.

When studying Types two comparative words ‘AS’ and ‘SO’ are often seen.

AS in Adam all die,(‘Type’) (1 Cor 15:22a)

Even SO in Christ shall all be made alive. ("Antitype") (1 Cor 15:22b)

1. JESUS THE PASSOVER LAMB

The Passover of Exodus foreshadowing the crucifixion of Christ on the cross and His shed blood which provided there remission of sins.

The Passover is a Spring Feast. It commemorates the greatest event in the people of Israel’s history—their miraculous liberation from Egypt.

2. SHADOWS OF THE CHRIST AND THE NEW COVENANT -

SPRING FEASTS PART 1

There are many shadow of things to come throughout the Bible. This is essentially the Bible’s way of foreshadowing future prophetic events through Old Testament Scripture.

"Type" is some "person," or "event," or "ceremony" that is recorded to "foreshadow" some future "person," or "event," or "ceremony."

For example:

• TYPICAL PERSONS, like Melchizedek, Joshua etc
• TYPICAL EVENTS, like the "Passover" etc
• TYPICAL CEREMONIES, like "Ceremonial Cleansing," "Feasts of Trumpets," "Year of Jubilee," etc

THE FALL FEASTS OF ISRAEL: PART 2

Remember Yeshua is woven through the entire fabric of the Bible. The feast days of Israel is God’s prophetic calendar of Redemption. The first four feast are fulfilled at the first coming of Jesus the lamb of God. While the last three feast are fulfilled at the Second Coming.

Just as the Spring Feasts includes three distinct feast, so the festive season of the seventh month (in late September or October) includes three fall feast:

These are:

• The Feast of Trumpets
• The Day of Atonement
• The Feast of Tabernacles

THE FALL FEASTS OF ISRAEL: PART 3

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS - JESUS’ PROCESSION ACROSS THE SKY:
The second coming procession begins in the sky when Jesus travels across the entire earth on the clouds at the last trumpet. (1 Cor. 15:51-52; Rev. 11:15)

Jesus will be seen by every eye, every person (believers and unbelievers). This requires a global procession over every inhabited place on earth, including each remote island of the sea. (Rev. 1:7)

5. JOSHUA A TYPE AND SHADOW OF JESUS PART #1

Joshua a shadow of Jesus
Joshua ,as his name in Hebrew indicates, is a type of Christ. The name Joshua or Yeshua in Hebrew, means “salvation.”Joshua is in Hebrew what Jesus is in Greek.

1. Joshua was Divinely Appointed

Christ also was appointed — as the servant of the Lord, and the Savior of men.
Isaiah 42:1

2. Joshua was the Servant of Moses.

So too Jesus was first the servant of the law, before he securred the salvation of men.

3. Joshua was the Successor of Moses.

As Joshua succeeded Moses, so Christ and his Gospel succeeded the whole Mosaic ritual.

6. JOSHUA A TYPE AND SHADOW OF JESUS PART #2

A Plan of Destruction
Just as Joshua defeated the pagan usurper to reclaim the Holy City for the Lord, so too will Jesus Christ return to Earth and defeat the false Messiah Antichrist and reclaim the entire world for God.

Joshua was indeed a type of Jesus Christ and his war to lead God’s nation into the Promised Land was a shadow of Jesus Christ’s future defeat of the Antichrist and reclaiming the Earth for the saints of The Lord.
