MATERIALS: Laptop and sound system to play music. Multimedia projector and screen to show the PowerPoint.
11 balloons, Marker pen, Photocopy: Bible Verse Visual Aids and‘Sword Play Memory Verse Track’. Activity books for youth. Set up a chair covered with a red cloth to represent the cross , tie two wooden branches together to form a cross. Seven SOAP Daily Devotional Journals photocopy a set of seven for each teen to take home.

AS YOUTH ARRIVE PRIOR TO THE LESSON:
Welcome Teacher/Trainers and students. Get a youth to colour the Bible Verse Visual Aids.

5. TEACHING:
a) Review
Who can recite the Memory Verse from last week?
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
(2 Timothy 1: 7)

Last week we went through deliverance (Encourage some of the youth come forward and share their testimony)

Last week we prayed a special blessing over you can you remember parts of this prayer?

• We prayed that you would be filled with the Holy Spirit
• We prayed that the fruits of the Holy Spirit begin manifesting in your life
• We prayed that the Holy Spirit stir up the gifts of the Spirit inside you
• We prayed and dispatched warring angels around you, to help fight any spiritual battle you may encounter.
• We prayed that that you would keep all doors closed. Don’t allow sin in your life.
• We encourage you to say the “warfare prayers” every day. (Both day-time, and night time.)

b) Sword Play
Ready…Swords up…Matthew 16:16 … CHARGE!
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Balloon jumble, write one word of the verse on each balloon - You, are, the, Christ, the, Son, of, the, living, God”
Throw the balloons in the air and have fun retrieving them and sorting them in the correct order.

Set up the Multimedia projector and screen to show the PowerPoint Keeping your Deliverance

• Review and discuss the seven SOAP BibIe Study Devotional Journals from last week.
• Give each youth the next seven SOAP Bible Study Devotional Journals one for each day of the week to follow.

6. APPLICATION/ENCOUNTERING GOD:
Set up the Laptop connected to the sound system to play soft worship music to set the atmosphere.
Set up a chair covered with a red cloth to represent the cross , tie two wooden branches together to form a cross.

Today we learnt that if we must yield every area of our lives to the Lordship of Christ. The Bible tells us

11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:11-12

Let us spend some time thinking about areas in our lives that we still have to yield to the Lordship of Christ. Let us write these down and bring them and put them at the foot of the cross.
