Positive Spiritual Sign Trends in the Church
Cosmic signs:
11“There will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.”
(Lk. 21:11)
II. END-TIME REVIVAL
2Behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness
the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will
be seen upon you. (Isa. 60:2)
The greatest outpouring of the Spirit
27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain
or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (Eph.
5:27)
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude
that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing
white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. (Rev.
7:9)
11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the
word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as
to shrink from death. (Rev.12:11)
2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and,
standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the
beast and its image and over the number of its name. (Rev.
15:2)
17“It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that
I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh… 20before the coming
of the great and awesome day of the LORD.” (Acts 2:17-20)
7“For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has
made herself ready.”
(Rev. 19:7)
Jesus is building His Church
18“I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not
prevail against it.” (Mt. 16:18)
III. POSITIVE SIGN TRENDS IN THE END-TIME CHURCH
A. Gospel preached to all nations:
14“This gospel…will be preached…to all the nations[ethnos]
and then the end will come.” (Mt. 24:14)
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude
that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing
white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
(Rev. 7:9)
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who
are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These
are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed
their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev.
7: 13 – 14)
6 I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the
everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to
every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. (Rev. 14:6)
B. Unity:
22“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that
they may be one just as We are one…23and that the world may
know that You have sent Me.” (Jn. 17:22-23)
C. Outpouring of the Spirit:
17 “It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that
I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters
shall prophesy…before the…day of the LORD.” (Acts
2:17-20)
28 “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days. (Joel 2:28-29)
17 “It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that
I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters
shall prophesy…before the…day of the LORD.” (Acts
2:17-20)
D. Bridal paradigm of the kingdom:
17The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” (Rev.
22:17)
E. Turn the hearts of the fathers:
6“He (Elijah) will turn the hearts of the parents
to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents;.”
(Mal. 4:6a)
F. Increased understanding of God’s end-time plans:
18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate
the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number
is 666. (Rev. 13:18)
9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are
seven hills on which the woman sits. (Rev. 17:9)
33“And those of the people who understand shall instruct
many.” (Dan. 11:33)
20“The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has
executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. In the latter
days you will understand it perfectly.” (Jer. 23:20)
IV. SIGN EVENTS AND TRENDS RELATED TO ISRAEL
A. RESETTLEMENT OF ISRAEL:
11“I will raise up the tabernacle of David…12 that
they may possess the remnant of Edom [Islam] and all the
Gentiles [nations]…14 I will bring back the captives of My
people Israel… 15I will plant them in their land [1948],
and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land.” (Amos
9:11-15)
8“In the latter years you [Antichrist] will come
into the land of those [Israel]…gathered from many
people [nations] on the mountains of Israel, which had
long been desolate.” (Ezek. 38:8)
6“In that day…Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in
her own place—Jerusalem.” (Zech. 12:6b)
B. RETURN OF ONE PURE LANGUAGE, HEBREW
"For then I will return to the people a pure language, that
they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one
consent." (Zephaniah 3:9 )
C. REBUILDING OF THE TEMPLE, RESTORATION OF TEMPLE WORSHIP
AND ANIMAL SACRIFICES IN JERUSALEM
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the
abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the
prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— (Mt.
24:15)
14 “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’
standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand—then
let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (Mark
13:14)
4 He (Antichrist) will oppose and will exalt himself
over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he
(Antichrist) sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming
himself to be God. (2 Thes. 2:4)
1I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go
and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers.
2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has
been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for
42 months. (Rev. 11:1-2)
26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will
be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who
will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will
come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations
have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one
‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he
will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he
will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end
that is decreed is poured out on him.” (Dan. 9:26-27)
31 “His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple
fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set
up the abomination that causes desolation. (Dan. 11:31)
11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and
the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be
1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the
end of the 1,335 days. (Dan. 12:11 - 12)
"This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded,
saying, "Speak to the sons of Israel that they bring you an
unblemished red heifer in which is no defect and on which a yoke
has never been placed.“ (Numbers 19:2-7 )
3. "Leave out the court which is outside
the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations;
and they will tread under foot the Holy city for forty-two months."
(Revelation 11:2)
5. A potential ‘end time’ earthquake
that could destroy the Dome.
19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there
shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. (Ezekiel
38: 19)
D. SALVATION OF ISRAEL:
19“Repent therefore and be converted [Jewish people]…20that
He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you [Jewish people]
before, 21whom heaven must receive [retain] until the times
of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by…His
prophets.” (Acts 3:19-21)
11…to provoke them [Israel] to jealousy, salvation
has come to the Gentiles.
(Rom. 11:11)
7Thus says the Lord: “Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout
among the chief of the nations; proclaim, give praise, and say,
‘O Lord save…the remnant of Israel!’” (Jer.
31:7)
V. SIGN TRENDS RELATED TO THE NATIONS
A. Global government:
41 Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked
clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet
it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw
iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes were partly iron and partly
clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle.
(Dan. 2:41-42)
7 “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there
before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and
very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured
its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different
from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.
20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about
the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the
horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes
and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom.
After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones;
he will subdue three kings. (Dan. 7:7, 20, 24)
3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon
with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. (Rev.
12:3)
1 The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming
out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns
on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. (Rev.
13:1)
3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness.
There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered
with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns
7 Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will
explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides,
which has the seven heads and ten horns.
12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet
received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority
as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will
give their power and authority to the beast.
16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute.
They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her
flesh and burn her with fire. (Rev. 17:3, 7, 12-13, 16)
C. Knowledge and travel:
4“Seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run
to and fro [unprecedented travel], and knowledge shall increase[information
age].” (Dan. 12:4)
"But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the
book until the end of time; … and knowledge will increase.“
(Daniel 12:4)
D. Internet technology:
16He causes all…to receive a mark on their right hand or
on their foreheads, 17and that no one may buy or sell except one
who has the mark or the name of the beast. (Rev. 13:16-17)
VI. PRAYER AND WORSHIP MOVEMENT
1 Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”
The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved;
he will judge the peoples with equity.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
13 Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples in his faithfulness. (Ps. 96:1-3; 10-13)
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you
be secure. (Ps. 122:6)
20 It will be a sign and witness to the Lord Almighty in the land
of Egypt. (Africa) When they cry out to the Lord because of their
oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will
rescue them. 21 So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians,
(Africans) and in that day they will acknowledge the Lord. They
will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make
vows to the Lord and keep them.
22 The Lord will strike Egypt (Africa) with a plague; he will strike
them and heal them. They will turn to the Lord, and he will respond
to their pleas and heal them. (Isa. 19:20-22)
14 They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they
acclaim the Lord’s majesty.
15 Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; exalt the name
of the Lord, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.
16 From the ends of the earth we hear singing: “Glory to the
Righteous One.” (Isa. 24:14-16)
13 And in that day a great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing
in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship
the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem. (Isa. 27:13)
10 Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the
earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands,
and all who live in them.
11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the
settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.
Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops.
12 Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim his praise in the
islands.
13 The Lord will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will
stir up his zeal;
with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over
his enemies.
14 “For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet
and held myself back.
But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.
15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their
vegetation;
I will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools. (Isa.
42: 10 – 15)
11 Those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their
heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will
flee away. (Isa. 51:11)
8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout
for joy.
When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.
(Isa 52:8)
6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never
be silent day or night.
You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him
no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of
the earth. (Isa. 62: 6-7)
1 Gather together, gather yourselves together, you shameful nation,
2 before the decree takes effect and that day passes like windblown
chaff,
before the Lord’s fierce anger comes upon you, before the
day of the Lord’s wrath comes upon you. (Zeph. 2:
1-2)
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants
of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look
on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as
one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one
grieves for a firstborn son. (Zech. 12:10)
13 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My
house will be called a house of prayer,’ (Mt. 21:13a)
8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four
elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were
holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s
people. (Rev. 5:8)
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the
altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all
God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne.
4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s
people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. (Rev.
8:3-4)
7“Shall God not avenge [bring justice to] His own elect who
cry out day and night to Him…? 8When the Son of Man comes,
will He really find faith [agreement] on the earth?”
(Lk.18:7-8)
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the
altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all
God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne.
4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s
people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the
angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled
it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes
of lightning and an earthquake. (Rev.8:3-5)
7“Shall God not avenge [bring justice to] His own elect who
cry out day and night to Him…? 8When the Son of Man comes,
will He really find faith [agreement] on the earth?”
(Lk.18:7-8)
The International House of Prayer (IHOP):
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered
with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never
stop saying:
“‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,’
who was, and is, and is to come.” (Rev. 4:8)
2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters
and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that
of harpists playing their harps. (Rev.14:2)
6I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never
hold their peace [be silent, NASB] day or night. You who make mention
of the LORD, do not keep silent, 7and give Him no rest till He…makes
Jerusalem a praise in the earth [at Jesus’ return].
(Isa. 62:6-7)
10Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise from the ends of
the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you
coastlands…11Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their
voice, the villages that Kedar [Saudi Arabia] inhabits.
Let the inhabitants of Sela [Jordan] sing, let them shout
from the top of the mountains…13The LORD shall go forth [Jesus’
return] like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a
man of war…He shall prevail against His enemies.” (Isa.
42:10-13)
The Great End-Time Conflict: Two Global Worship Movements
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one
who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come;
and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
(Rev. 22:17)
It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf,
and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast…
(Rev. 13:12a)
All who dwell on the earth will worship him (Antichrist),
whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb
slain from the foundation of the world. (Rev. 13:8)
All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast…
(Rev. 13: 8a)
The devil…showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their
glory. And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You
if You will fall down and worship me." (Matt. 4:8-9)
Then a herald cried aloud, "…You shall… worship
the gold image whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast
into…fiery furnace." (Dan. 3:1-6)
We must be like the son’s of Issachar, men who understood
the times and knew what Israel should do. (1 Chronicles
12:32)
