Our Mission
Biblical
Training to the Nations in the power of the Holy Spirit
The mission and purpose of the Assemblies of God School of Theology
{AGST} are summoned up in the above mission statement. We are thus
committed to three things.
1. The bible is our text book. We are a Bible
school. At the heart of
every class and every subject is the Bible, The eternal Word of
God.
2. The Nations are our focus. We are a missionary school. Our goal
is to
train workers whose passion is to reach the nations of the world
with
the gospel before Jesus second coming. (Matthew 24:14)
3. The Holy Spirit is our source. We are the Pentecostal school.
We
exist to train truly Pentecostal Pastors, evangelist, missionaries
and
teachers, men and women who can move in the power and anointing
of the Holy Spirit. We expect that all of our teachers and students
will be baptized in the Holy Spirit. We anticipate the moving of
the
Spirit in our classes and in our chapel services.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to train workers for world harvest. We exist to
train
pastors missionaries and teachers to fulfill the Great Commission
of Christ (Mt 28:18-20). We seek to accomplish three things in the
life of each student:
1. Filled with the Word. It is our purpose that each student be
filled with
the word of God.
2. Filled with the Spirit. It is further our purpose that each
is filled with the Holy Spirit.
3. Tools to accomplish the task. Finally, it is our purpose that
we give each student the tools, both spiritually and practical,
that he or she needs to get the job done.
