Following the January 2010 Haiti earthquake millions of people in Haiti are still living in tents all around Port au Prince

One such tent city is located on the outskirts of Bon Repos and United Caribbean Trust has been drawn to help this tent city, many of the occupants relocated from City Soleil.

This tent city is called Cannan!

One Saturday the team visited the tent city and were able to meet the children and share the Good News that Jesus loves them and so do we!

We returned as promised to bless these children with clothes and tarpaulins from our container and the United Caribbean Trust's Make Jesus Smile shoeboxes enabling us to establish a new Tent City Children child sponsorship.

There is a resident school teacher available to help run the school and a small shelter has been built to house the first class.

The cost to sponsor a class is US $900 per month to enable 30 children to attend school, be fed every other day and to attend the Saturday After School Club.

As the children received their Make Jesus Smile shoebox they were photographed and identified and are now a part of the UCT child sponsorship database for sponsorship.

US $30 per month will enable them to attend school, be fed and register for the After School Club.
