Thank God we were able to go into this tent city. 30,000 people from Cite Soleil evacuated to this area. There is no running water, no electricity and no sewage.

There is no school at the moment but UCT is believing God to be able to start one. We have already built a small 15'X12' shelter that could second as a classroom. There is a qualified teacher on site and we are believing to start the first tent city school in Cannan.

Equipping Ministries International's founder Don Warren in his last trip to Haiti built a toilet on a plot of land allocated for the children's ministry. Praise God.

There is a small wooded shack which is on the land that is used by the Red Cross as a clinic.

Most of these children are extremely traumatised and there is a great need to establish not only the school but child councelling and Spiritual guidance.

We are trying to establish a Child Sponsorship progams in this tent city including a 'Sponsor a Class program.'

The cost is US $900 per month to enable 30 children to attend school, be fed every other day and to attend the Saturday After School Club.
