Rev.
Zina Jacque is the founder of the Pastoral Counseling Center of Trinity
Church. The Center was created to provide men and women of faith with
a place to come and receive quality counseling from mental health professionals
in an atmosphere that honors and utilizes faith as one of the tools to
achieve a healthy mental state. She is also on the pastoral staff of the
Calvary Baptist Church where the Rev. Dr. Gregory Thomas is the pastor.
Until recently Rev. Jacque served as the Protestant Chaplain for Bentley
College, Waltham, MA where she was responsible for the spiritual life
and religious counseling of students. She also assisted with the coordination
of cross-cultural and cross-religious activities with other clergy and
lay leaders. In addition she also served as the Director of Christian
Education for the First Baptist Church of Melrose, MA. Prior to these
assignments, she served as the Executive Director for the Boston TenPoint
Coalition, an organization of 60+churches galvanized around the issues
of at risk youth.
Before coming to Boston Rev. Jacque enjoyed a 17-year career as a college
admission and financial aid officer, holding admission and financial aid
positions at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, University
of California Santa Cruz, and Mills College. Rev. Jacque is completing
her doctorate in Practical Theology at Boston University and holds degrees
from Northwestern University (BA), Columbia University (MA) and Boston
University (M.Div.). She is married to Andre Bell and is the mother of
Tiffany and Christian, and the grandmother of Devon Casey.
Zina Jacque is a teacher, pastor, facilitator, consultant, administrator,
and collaborator. But more importantly that anything else, more important
than titles, more important than accomplishments and achievements she
wants the church to know she loves the Lord. As her signature God gave
her John 15:16, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed
you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will
give you whatever you ask in my name." Praise the Lord.
