Julius at YWAM Montana - 2005

Equipped and trained

2005 was my season of training and being equipped for better service for the Lord. I started attending the Foundation Community Development. (FCD) course which is run by Youth With A Mission - Montana, in the United States.

The Montana Base is nestled in the beautiful Flathead Valley in Lakeside, right next to the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi, Flathead Lake. To the north, the majestic Mission Mountain range lines the valley. Northwest of the base about 40 miles is one of the most breathtaking places on earth, Glacier National Park. To the west of the nationally renown, Big Mountain Ski Resort.

It is a 6 months course that equips students and community workers to be more effective disciples of the communities.

The course gave me the understanding and tools on how to facilitate transformation in communities towards God’s intentions. I believe with such training and teaching I will be effective in the role that God is calling me into as a missionary.

God has placed a burden on my heart for Haiti, where I will be working for 2 ½ years to mobilize the community along with other members of YWAM.

	I began to feel a great calling to be trained in the area of Health Care and commenced a 6 month Health Care course. The Lord has opened up my eyes to a new area and level where He wants me to tap into in my ministry.
With a great help from the Lord I have gained knowledge and understanding, my skills have increased to minister and touch lives in a different way for the Lord. I have studied the human anatomy and emergency care. With this knowledge I know God had a plan for my life

I then accompanied YWAM to Thailand and Laos for our outreach and we had great opportunities to minister to many people in local community settings and in many tribal groups in deep jungle areas. I have seen many people with leprosy, scribes, and many other Topical diseases.

September 2003, I became a student at Youth with a Mission Barbados, where I completed a 6 months course in Discipleship Training School.The course is divided into 3 months of lectures and 3 months mission outreach .

As my studies continued, I commenced the 3 month outreach stage of DTS which took me to Haiti. While there I had opportunities to work with many different groups. I ministered to the needs and hearts of the people.

I felt the called of God to be apart of YWAM Barbados, as a short term missionary and I became a part of a six members team helping to disciple the student. During this time I believe God released me into my full purpose.
