Nestled at the base of the north
east slope of Morne Trois Pitons, located in the Central Forest
Reserve is the beautiful Emerald Pool. This natural beauty is
a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
These are the most accesible falls in Dominica.
A natural haven for hundreds of
bird species including the Siffluer de Montagne - the Mountain
Whistler or Rufous-throated Solitaire.
Numerous other wild animals find haven in the
cool, moise environment of the rain forest.
The trail through the rainforest is short and well signposted
with two overlooks, one provides a view down the Belle Fille Valley
towards the rough Atlantic east coast of the island.
At the base of the trail is the
lovely Emerald Pool.
The river finds its way to the Atlantic at Castle
Bruce.
