Blessing Perez Johnson

My name is Blessing Perez Johnson. I was born in Akure, the capital city of Ondo state, citizen of Nigeria. I started my sport career as teenager in a local football club .I attended The Methodist Primary School here in Akure, I was chosen as a sport prefect to represent my the school in football and athletics event. I later proceeded to the United High School where I also represented my school at the state level.

In 1997, I felt in love with the game of handball. My family are all sport orientated. My brother was a weight-lifter and my sister was also a handball player. So it was natural for me to pick up the game very quickly and I started full training with the state junior team. There I was selected to represent my state in junior under age competition in 1997 at Afuze ,Edo state, here in Nigeria. We emerge winner of the best behaved team award. I was selected to a camp to represent my country in an under age competition in Spain ,Alicante [Torrellano cup Espano].we came 4th were awarded the best behaved Team. Though we lost out at the semi final stage to Malaga Handball Team Just before I came back from Spain my coach informed me that I would be joining the Senior Team to play in the next competition in Edo state. This was a result of my brilliant performance in the under age Torrellano cup. As we were preparing and planning for the competition, something happened in the camp that brought a dramatic change to my life. Our visa was delayed, which prompt our team captain Ola to ask every members of the team to pray and fast for three days. After the three days fasting and prayer, the Lord answered our prayers and our traveling was granted. This now made me to believe that God is a loving and faithful Father. I can trust Him with my life and He will not let me down.

When we came back from Spain, I was also asked to join the senior team to play for the qualifier game for the National sports festival .This time around, we came first and I was picked as the player of the tournament. After the qualifier series, we were in preparation for the national sports festival .During the training, I sustained a wrist injury which disallowed me from playing with my hands. All the medication I took proved abortive and for this reason I was prohibited from the competition

One night I decided to go into prayer and I prayed the prayer of healing and as I was praying, I was hearing my wrist bones setting into its right places and joined immediately I knew I had encountered the healing power of God.

Although I was born into a religious family ,but I was not born again. As a teenager I attended church with the other teenager in my street. I gave my life to Christ in a street crusade, which was organised by Christ Apostolic Church in the early nineties. When the alter was made in the crusade, I came out to give my life to Jesus Christ, even though I believe in Christ, I never really had a meaningful relationship with Him. In 2001,I rededicated my life again to Jesus and as I read through the Bible and learning about God I discover that I have to live a life that pleases God .The word of God changed my attitude towards life and many other thing..The more I try to please God, I discovered that I was not perfect, but the word of God was great light that took away the darkness of my life. The word was a guide for me to follow and it comforted me in times of weakness. I come to believe that Christ has forgiven me and has given a new purpose for living .He created every man with specific plan in mind. He has also programmed and equipped us with His divine power and abilities to fulfill His plan on earth.

The vision of the sport ministry was birth after four hours experience in the place of prayer in year 2004. During this time I was seeking the face God weather to go into full time ministry because my church had already commissioned me to Pastor in one of our new branch in village called Adofure. During my period of waiting, the Lord told me that He will take me to many Nations of the world through sports and that He will create the room for me to share the Gospel. To confirm the word of the Lord, my first international message was preached in Fresh Anointing International Church Accra Ghana .One of the west African country ,through sport. To God be the glory.

In 2006, I was in a sport camp in Ijebuod, Ogun state, south west of Nigeria for the preparation for one of the largest competition in Nigeria National sports festival 2006]. The Lord also gave me the opportunity to coordinate the camp fellowship. I was able to preach to about five hundred people. During the camp, I received a vision to start sport's Digest ,a Christian Magazine. The purpose of the was to raise Godly sports superstar .I began to pray and trust God for money to publish the first edition of the sport's Digest As God will have it ,my brother came back from commonwealth games [Melbourne Australia] and gave me one hundred dollars to acquire an accommodation for myself [a room].Instead, I decided to use the money to publish the first edition of the magazine. In December 2007 I was in minister conference and the Lord further spoke to me that I should raise for Him youth that will expand His kingdom through sport

To achieve this purpose ,ROYALGOLD GLOBAL SPORTS OUTREACH INTIATIVE started. Since the commencement of the ministry, the Lord has been faithful to us.

Our prayer is that the Lord will send faithful men that will support the vision with what He has blessed them with. There are so many grounds to cover for Jesus. We pray that the Lord will find you and I faithful as we Network together for expansion of His Kingdom. God bless.
