United Caribbean Trust a Barbadian Charitable Organisation we are delighted to announce a new program called Hope Housing Caribbean.

We seek to put God’s love into action, bringing people together to build homes and communities of hope.

Earthquake resistant:

Laboratory tests carried out showed that the structure withstands, with no damages, strains greater than those calculated for a First Class Earthquake, that is the maximum provided for by the Italian Earthquake regulation. A home not only gives these people protection from the elements but it improves their self esteem and more importantly it brings hope. Home ownership provides families a sustainable home and gives children a save place to grow up. Hope Housing Caribbean is the first step to change their lives and gives them hope for a better future.

After the construction we will work with our local Community partner to continue with support in education and community development. We believe that a house is a first step towards a better future.

Mission Principles:

1. Demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ.
Homes of Hope Africa desires to demonstrate the love of Jesus and to be the “hands and feet” of that love to our local Haitian Communities.

2. Focus on housing.
Hope Housing Caribbean we believe will manifest God’s love, to create opportunities for all people to live in decent, durable homes We put faith into action by helping to build, renovate or restore homes, and by partnering with communities Hope Housing Caribbean believes we can provide affordable housing as a foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty.

3. Affordable housing.
In response to the prophet Micah’s call to do justice, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God, Hope Housing Caribbean looks to promote decent, affordable housing for those most needing it throughout the Africa. We hope to advocate for justice and fair housing policies to eliminate the constraints that contribute to a shortage of housing within the Haiti.

4. Promote Hope.
Hope Housing Caribbean believes that no one lives in dignity until everyone lives in dignity. We believe that every person has something to contribute and something to gain from creating communities in which all people have decent, affordable places to live. We believe that dignity and hope are best achieved through home ownership and community responsibility.

5. Support sustainable and transformational development.
Hope Housing Caribbean seeks to transforms lives and promote positive lasting social, economic and Spiritual change within a community. This is often best achieved through fully shared accomplishments gives residents a chance to fully develop.

This new initiative is still being developed, but we are delighted to be partnering with a local Barbadian organization we shall call the ‘Construction Group’.

The ‘Construction Group’. specialises in providing the full range of construction and development services within the Caribbean region. They are committed to and respect the changing needs, expectations and requirements of their clients and work together with them in a partnership.

They are keenly aware of how important it is to build a strong foundation of good business ethics, trust and transparency with their clients and they pride themselves on client satisfaction.

This partnership will result in 10% of the housing stock being donated to Hope Housing Caribbean to establish our Affordable Housing and Disaster Modular Housing Programmes.
