Community Moringa Project:
A seed stock of Moringa
seeds is being established to distribute to the Pastors
and PowerClub leaders throughout Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia
The children will be taught farming
principles using the Moringa seed as a visual aid.
A children’s colouring
Moringa book has been produced, in various languages and will
teach them the nutritional
and medicinal values of Moringa and can also be used
as educational posters for their schools and churches.
21 week Moringa children's curriculum has been developed to
educate the children on the importance of Moringa as well
as teach them about planting the Jesus seed and the Sowers
Parable, using the Moringa as a visual aid over 8 weeks until
the plant is established and ready for planting.
The little saplings once established will
be taken home by children within the community and planted
outside their homes. They will also be able to take an adult
Moringa Eduational Brochure for their parents, that will also
have an evangelism outreach bringing Hope to these families.
Jenny Tryhane, founder of UCT
and Director of the Africa Bureau of Children's Discipleship
introduced the African Community Moringa Project in preparation
for establishing Food for Life Africa

and health benefits of Moringa. An Educational Moringa booklet
has been produce and will be printed in Africa in either English,
Swahili, Tumbuka or Chichewi as a means of health
and nutritional adult education. These sessions are excellent
means to introduce the Stonecroft Bible Studies into the adult

Moringa's suitability as animal
fodder and other trees eventually such as Mulberry

Africa Rabbit Feeding Program:
We are believing God that we
will be able to establish a rabbit feeding program for each
of our African PowerPlay Child Care Centres, including Hope
Moringa leaf meal (MOLM) can
be used to improve daily weight gain in rabbits
Moringa is non-toxic
to rabbits at least at the 20% diet inclusion level.
It has the potential to reduce cholesterol
level in blood and the meat of rabbits.
Moringa leaf meal (MOLM) could be used to replace
soyabean meal (SBM) partially or completely in rabbit diets as
a non-conventional protein source.
A major constraint to livestock production
in developing countries is the scarcity and fluctuating
quantity and quality of the year-round feed supply. To be
able to substitute with leafy plants like Moringa is a great
Africa land for the Moringa Projects
10 acres have been identified in Tanzania
on the outskirts of Mbeya, where UCT has our Tanzania Headquarters
managed by Pastor David Akondowe
The land is rich
and productive growing coffee, maize and fodder grass for
cattle. There are two streams running along the boarder and
it is just a few minutes walk from a large river.
Thanks to a donation UCT is purchasing this
land for our Tanzania Moringa Pilot Project working with
the children from the Kisses
from Heaven PowerClub under the leadership of Pastor
UCT already owns land in Bugiri in Eastern
Uganda close to the Kenyan border where we are trusting God
to launch our first Moringa Pilot Project.
Seen here Jenny (back left) with Pastor
Abraham, the Uganda UCT Representative and Mama Pinos
Pastor David Cheni has agreed to
introduce this African Community Moringa Project through the
Power Clubs in Uganda.
A 21 week Moringa Curriculum including 'Planting
the Jesus Seed' has been created in Swahili to assist with
A special 43 page Salvation Flip Chart has
been produced in three different languages.
Mbegu Mlonge (Swahili)
UCT already owns land in Uluwa in Malawi where
we are believing God to launch our first Moringa Pilot Project.
Next to the donated land is lovely flat land
and for US $1,500 we could purchase further land seen
here which runs down close to the shores of Lake
to sponsor our African Community Moringa Project.
Your US $30 per month will enable us to:
- Feed your sponsored child at the church PowerClub
three times a week, after school utilizing Moringa as a dietary
- It will enable him/her to attend the African
PowerClub three times a week.
- It will supply all necessary materials needed
to host the PowerClub
- It will enable us to train more teachers in the
KIMI program and get this excellent program into the schools of
Africa once a week
- It will enable us to print KIMI curriculums and
handbooks for local churches and schools including teaching and
training more Pastors and Sunday School teachers.
- It will allow us to host teacher refresher classes
once a quarter to update them on new KIMI curriculums
