Pastor David Cheni was born and raised in Busia, Uganda, David was the 6th born out of 11 children of Joseph and Margaret. He has served as a teacher but did not have peace until 2004 before founding Springs of Hope Care Ministries and Orphanage in 2008.

Pastor David was involved in a wreckage road accident and all the people in the vehicle died. He was taken to the Mortuary and spent 60 minutes dead. God however raised him up and spared his life for a purpose and he now serves fulltime with Springs of Hope Care Ministries in both Kenya and Uganda.

Pastor David holds a diploma of Theology from Kenya Baptist University, where he studied Theology and missions. He is currently majoring in community development.

He lives with his wife and three children in Busia and has passion for orphans. They have taken in ten orphans who live in their home with the family.

He is currently the Pastor at Springs of Hope Mission Church.

Pastor David and Sarah have been struggling for a long time in a tinny room to accommodate several orphans they have lived with.
By the grace of God they have been able to put up a building to the level that can be seen.

Most of the Planted Churches that have been established by Springs of Hope are fellowshipping under Mango Trees and others in temporary structures.

In total we have established 15 churches both in Kenya and Uganda and the biggest challange is to construct shelters for conducive fellowship.
