African Enterprise - Volunteer Opportunities

African Enterprise welcomes people who are willing to offer their gifts and time to go to Africa and serve through our ministry. Africa is a continent that offers almost endless opportunities for people to serve God through short term missions.

We try to remain flexible with what we offer because we acknowledge that God places different passions in the hearts of different people and equips people in different ways. Opportunities exist in all four of our key ministry areas; evangelism, reconciliation and justice, aid and development and leadership/training. You can work with young or old, in the office or out on the road.

We will work with you in the planning process to make sure that your volunteer stint with AE best meets your desires, the needs of our offices and the African people and ultimately makes a difference for the Kingdom.

Intern Program (3 Months – 2 Years)
Our intern program gives people the opportunity to experience the mission field first hand, while serving God through our various ministries. This program is for young people who want to be challenged with new ministry opportunities while living in a different culture. We want to make a contribution to growing young leaders and servants in their personal relationship with Christ and in turn sending them out to grow Christ's Kingdom. You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the work of the church in Africa through AE.

Short term teams
We want our team members to grow in their personal faith in Jesus Christ as we involve them in the work of the church in Africa and opportunities to serve. They will experience first hand the ways in which God is working in his church in other parts of the world. The valuable experiences gained in sharing their faith, working in ministry teams and building relationships will help them return to their home churches with a renewed enthusiasm for the power of the gospel to transform lives and new skills to share that gospel. We want our team members to be challenged and encouraged in their relationship with God as we uncover the reality of His work in people's lives throughout Africa.

Plan your own team
If your church wishes to partner with AE by sending a team to minister with our teams in Africa please contact us. We will offer support in planning a trip to visit one of our teams and training to help your church make the most of that opportunity for the team members, the people of Africa and for your local church. AE Canada is committed to helping churches who are looking to develop partnerships within Africa.
