Zimbabwe -Tabane Nkomo

Tabane Nkomo click on picture to enlargeMy name is Tabane Nkomo. As careless as wind that was my life, doing everything a bad man can do. My parents were sick and tired of me; even schoolteachers knew that I was naughty. Until one day Jesus visited me, saved me and cleaned me up, just as I was with all my bad ways.

I had grown up with an Islamic background. All my family members were converts to Islam. That was the only religion I knew. I never really knew true salvation I only went there because that was all I knew. My mother worked for a Moslem man and thus she adhered to be one. The whole family became Islamic.

One Saturday evening in 1997 my brother’s friend came home to invite him to church. In my heart I said no matter what happens I am going to visit this church with these guys. There grew a longing and a curiosity to visit the church. I guess God placed this hunger there in my heart. I still remember those words in my mind….“I want to go with you to church tomorrow.” My brother was reluctant though.

I went to sleep, early in the morning I woke up, prepared to go but my mother would not allow me for she thought I was not serious. We went to church, It was a wonderful service and to me it was not an ordinary day. The pastor preached well but I did not grasp anything. After the service I went home and I told myself that I would return to that church again. The next Sunday I went back and had a tremendous service and then I accepted Christ as my Saviour.

From that day God started building my life, destroying all the evil habits in me, with the help of my pastor and church elders I got delivered.
Now God is using me in the field of preaching, visitations, exhorting others. Now, my parents have been born again and we are glad we know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

I feel for other Moslems that are still lost. I meet many of them daily. I believe and am working towards it that one day I will be a pastor leading one of our.
I long for God to finish His tremendous plan in my life. I know that He is able. I am seeking sponsorship to enable me to attend Evangel Bible College in Zimbabwe.

May God bless you.
