Items Needed: adult and children’s clothing and linens (if
2nd hand, must be in very good condition, no stains and washed);
toys (no books because the people do not speak English); furniture
items in good condition; appliances in good condition and in working
order; anything that would be useful such as diapers, wipes, toiletries,
bikes, etc. (Non perishable items). We stress that 2nd hand items
must be in GOOD condition and washed and prepared well.
IMPORTANT : Items (except furniture or large non
breakable large appliances) MUST be placed into cardboard boxes,
please written on the side of the box generally what is inside:
i.e. – mixed female plus size clothes with children 3-6 year
old male; mixed kitchen wares with kitchen linens, etc. If you are
sending breakable glass items, please ensure they are wrapped in
paper or securely wrapped in something so they will not break while
being shipped in the container. Items shift and move around a lot
during shipping and we would not want them to arrive shattered.
Please DO NOT seal the boxes because we will have to do spot checks
to comply with customs regulations.
Items must be dropped off to the Hinds Transportation
storage lot located outside of the Port in Bridgetown [heading up
the Spring Garden highway from the Port to Bridgetown turn right
into the BICO entrance and the container is immediate on your right
in a fenced area where other containers are stored) on
- Friday March 8th between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Saturday March 9th from 2 -4:30 pm (no one will
be stationed at the container before or after these hours).
If you have large items, please ensure you have persons
with you who can help load them into the container as there will only
be two persons maximum stationed at the container and one will be
a female.
If you have any questions please email thewishcentre@yahoo.com
Thank you very much and God bless you for considering
