• Make prayer a visible and vital core value
of OBC
• Appoint national prayer leadership and secure budget
• Recruit regional coordinators and local intercessors
• Encourage all OBC leadership to develop personal prayer
circles
• Model prayer – make it a part of all gatherings, e.g.,
boards, conferences, etc.
• Appoint national leadership and secure
budget
• Expand the number of active leadership development training
centers
• Explore new models of leadership development
• Employ Refocus to renew and equip current leaders
• OBC leadership intentionally mentor a circle of emerging
young leaders
• Support EBC in funding and construction of the Student Life
Center
• Promote charitable giving through gift annuities and bequests
• Innovate to secure long-term funding for Children’s
Ministries
• Establish a Church Planting Endowment Fund
• Develop and grow the Open Bible Service Foundation
• OBC leadership involvement in the Body
of Christ

• Develop strategic partnerships with other organizations/ministries
• Develop an organizational strategy to link with church lay
leadership
• Create a culture and core value of outreach,
care, and evangelism in OBC
• Support the International Ministries Strategic Plan –
ADVANCE
• Promote the Mission America Phase II Lighthouse vision
• Celebrate in publications and at conferences those active
in outreach
• Church planting: Become a church multiplication movement
• Create and fund a national office of Ethnic
Ministries
• Identify current ethnic and multicultural churches/leaders
• Be inclusive: Ethnic representation on boards and committees
• Translate and print critical OBC literature as needed
• Convene a summit of Open Bible ethnic leaders for strategic
planning
• Fund and resource regional offices to accomplish
this priority objective
• Explore the possible partnership of YWAM with local Open
Bible Churches
• Pastoral Health: Involve pastors and leaders in the Refocus
network
• Church Health: Assist churches to identify “minimum
factors” (NCD)
• Advance Ministry Certificates: Consideration of the AMC
proposal
• Commitment to strong, loving, relational
ties among OBC leadership
• Commitment to integrate the national, regional, and department
strategic plans
• Commitment to share innovations and resources
• Commitment to celebrate one another’s victories and
growth
• Commitment to support one another in crisis and in ongoing
prayer
