The first such programs are Jesus Week, which
opens May 28, with a service at Abundant Life Assembly, and
an island-wide Day of Prayer on June 1.
On that day, people are being
encouraged to spend some time at prayer in homes, schools,
churches and workplaces and attend a prayer rally at Queen's
Park starting at 7 p.m.
The rally, which was being planned independently,
now becomes part of Jesus Week.
PRAISES TO JESUS. Traffic in the City came
to a standstill yesterday as Christians marched for Jesus.
Waving streamers, banners and
flags, hundreds of people from various denominations set off
from Queen's Park on a mission to show the world the power
of Jesus.
The march formed part of Jesus Week celebrations.
Founder of Jesus Week, Patrick
Tannis, said 'the purpose of the march was to bless
the City and all the institutions in Barbados, from the media
to the police and others."
A special thanks to Patrick
Tannis for being instrumental in bringing Grace
Christian Academyback to Barbados again this
year.
Seen here during their March 2007
outreach. Thank you from the children of our island for coming
and sharing Jesus with us in such a fresh, fun and vibrant
way.
A POWERFUL business leader in the United States, T. Naomi Odoom
will be coming to Barbados as part of this year's Jesus Week celebrations.
Her role will be to conduct a business seminar on
Friday, June 2 and to share insights on a range of business and
Internet-type activities and to foster entrepreneurship among Christians
in Barbados.
This seminar is part of a full week of activities
which will include a number of Bridgetown rallies and the annual
March for Jesus.
"The Jesus Week initiative, partnering with
the Minister of Social Transformation Hamilton Lashley, has come
up with a project to create the World Ambassadors for Social
Transformation. This is a project which embraces the youth
and vigor of the teenagers of the world.
On the premise that Jesus Christ was the world's
first minister of social transformation, the organisers of the program
have launched out with the ideals of faith, courage and goodwill
that would be passed on to young people," Tannis said.
Cassada Bay offer both
individuals and groups the possibility of coming to Carriacou and
staying in a 'working holiday village' FREE OF COST in
exchange for 'work in the village', bringing Hands of Help into
the community, the nursing homes, the church building project.
"I
will give you my message in the form of a vision.
Write it clearly
enough to be read at a glance. At the time I have
decided, my words will come true."

Missions is the heartbeat of God
It is our urgent call to provide
sponsorship for not only the orphans but also to support and
empower the body of Christ and send them out for the Great Commission.
United Caribbean Trust
base headquarters could be used as ‘Christian
Timeshare Holiday Resorts’ outside of the hurricane season
(thus fund the trust) and accommodation for relief workers during
the hurricane season if needed. If not needed they could be opened
to local schools, youth groups and Caribbean churches from July
to October.
