Rivers of Living Water Christian Centre-

Since its inception, Rivers of Living Water Christian Centre has been conducting various camp meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops on the Apostolic, the Prophetic, Prayer, Spiritual Warfare, Worship and Dance. Children’s Ministry, Women’s retreats, Men’s retreats, Vacation Bible School, Crusades, and River Festivals have also been major component of Rivers’ calendar of events.

Rivers held its first open air service at Market Street on Thursday December 7, 1995 with four persons in attendance: Apostle Isaac, Pastor Debbie Isaac, and two of their children.

In September of 1996 Elders, Deacons, Ushers and Worship Leaders were called to serve in the Ministry. At this time Apostle Isaac was appointed Dean of World Impact Bible Institute (WIBI), a two-year bible school established in St. Kitts by World Impact Bible Institute of Canada.

The year 1997 was designated Year of Firsts. In January a ‘Jesus Festival’ was held in Carnival City with the World Impact Mission team from Canada. In February, the church office was opened upstairs Claxton Arcade on Cayon Street. The office was relocated to Blakes’ Building on Princess Street in May of that same year. This facility also housed the office of World Impact Bible Institute.

In July, Rivers embarked on its first mission tour to eight Caribbean islands: Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Dominica, and Antigua. Since then similar mission trips to Belize, Panama, St. Martin, and Canada have been undertaken. The Youth Ministry has also conducted several mission trips.

In September, Rivers of Living Water Ministries International became incorporated, acquiring the powers of a legal entity. In December, Leaders and Partners rallied together to purchase a crusade tent, four hundred folding chairs, and later on, two Toyota buses.

In 1998, the tent was put to use with six weeks of evangelistic meetings at New Town Playing Field, and five weeks of meetings in Sandy Point. June marked the first ever River Festival, an evangelistic praise and worship event culminating with a march through the streets of downtown Basseterre.
