“Walking Alone with God – Bathsheba, Barbados”

The East Coast of Barbados has its own rugged beauty. It is a place that reminds me of God … in it’s breeziness and its turbulent water. It is a wonder just to sit and watch those waves crest, curl and fall… to reach the shore!

Many times I have felt very alone in my life. In those times, it is as if it is only you and God alone. Who else can you depend on? I think the place of alone-ness is one which we each travel through at some stage in our lives.

“Seven times hotter – the Furnace Experience”

The light at the end of this tunnel reveals a fiery furnace. Instead of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego being in the fire (Daniel 3): I am in the furnace… but I am not alone, as God is WITH me! And covering me!

When I was painting this, God had spoken to me the words – “seven times hotter”. This meant that the pressures of life would increase in that time. And it really did! Reading Daniel 3 was an encouragement, as the three Hebrew boys came out unharmed!
