The objective of the Foundation, which represents the educational arm of the Mulberry Patch pilot project, is to conceptualise and execute outreach and training activities geared towards the growth of the Mulberry Patch.

Schools were encouraged to visit the website and Dawnay volunteered to visit schools to introduce Sericulture and the Heritage project soon to be launched at River Plantation.

Live Mulberry plants were on show and children were reminded of the Biblical story of the Sycamore tree.

Silk derivatives were passed around including 'Mulberry bubble bath'

A true example of the Barbados multi cultural society as seen here, all united through the desire for knowledge.
