Hope Child Care Centre

Recently UCT purchased an orphanage in Uganda the Hope Child Care Centre (HCCC) and we are now focusing on food security not only for our orphanage but for many of the 10,000 children that live on the streets of Kampala, Uganda.

Africa Community Moringa Project:

Africa Community Moringa Project:

Black grow bags will be purchased and Moringa seeds distributed to the leaders. The children will be taught farming principles using the Moringa seed as a visual aid. A children’s colouring Moringa book has been produced, in various languages and will teach them the nutritional and medicinal values of Moringa and can also be used as educational posters for their schools and churches.

The little saplings once established will be taken home by children within the community and planted outside their homes.

Africa Rabbit Feeding Program:

PowerClub Rabbit Feeding Program

We are believing God that we will be able to establish a rabbit feeding program for each of our African PowerClubs, including Hope PowerClub.

Moringa leaf meal (MOLM) can be used to improve daily weight gain in rabbits

Moringa is non-toxic to rabbits at least at the 20% diet inclusion level.

It has the potential to reduce cholesterol level in blood and the meat of rabbits.

PowerClub Rabbit Feeding Program

Moringa leaf meal (MOLM) could be used to replace soyabean meal (SBM) partially or completely in rabbit diets as a non-conventional protein source.

Moringa

A major constraint to livestock production in developing countries is the scarcity and fluctuating quantity and quality of the year-round feed supply. To be able to substitute with leafy plants like Moringa is a great benefit.

ABCD's Africa land for the Moringa Projects

TANZANIA:

10 acres have been identified in Tanzania on the outskirts of Mbeya, where UCT has our Tanzania Headquarters managed by Pastor David Akondowe

The land is rich and productive growing coffee, maize and fodder grass for cattle. There are two streams running along the boarder and it is just a few minutes walk from a large river.

Kisses from Heaven PowerClub.

Thanks to a donation UCT is purchasing this land for our Tanzania Moringa Pilot Project working with the children from the Kisses from Heaven PowerClub.

Seen here Jenny Tryhane, Founder of UCT (back left) with Pastor Abraham, the Uganda UCT Representative holding the hoe that was used to plant a memorial tree on the boundary of the land. In the front is Mama Pinos who officially handed the land over on behalf of her husband Bishop Pinos and right Pastor Paul who will be the resident Pastor of this project.

UGANDA

UCT/ABCD already owns land in Bugiri in Eastern Uganda close to the Kenyan border where we are trusting God to launch our first Moringa Pilot Project.

MALAWI

UCT already owns land in Uluwa in Malawi where we are believing God to launch our first Moringa Pilot Project.

Next to the donated land is lovely flat land and for US $1,500 we could purchase further land seen here which runs down close to the shores of Lake Malawi.

There is adequate land here to grow Moringa. Not only for the nutritional needs of the PowerPlay child care centre but for animal fodder.

UCT is believing God to be able to introduce the Moringa Project through the children in the Malawi PowerClubs.
