Haiti hit by massive earthquake Port au Prince destroyed schools Jenny and Greta experienced the earthquake in this yard at the Yolanda Thervil Foundation. These shots were taken during the quake as the school and orphanage rocked and swayed the orphans fell on their knees in prayer as they saw their home crumbling and Mama Yol lifted her hands and pleaded for God to have mercy and spare a lifetime of work. It remains a miracle that the school is still standing and no lives were lost. To God be the glory

The computers donated by Price Waterhouse in Barbados tumbled to the ground.

The school disconnected from the church (below left) and tilted backwards, as the house next door crumbled with a crashing noise (below middle)

But there was the peace of God that passes all understanding that covered us despite the turmoil that surrounded us.

As praises went up all night thanking God for our lives unaware that over 100,000 people had died all around us. The Spirit of the Most High God revealed to me...

Haiti hit by massive earthquake Port au Prince destroyed schools The big three story school in Heart for Haiti buckled with the impact of the earthquake. Praise God none of the children were killed and the only teacher in the building was pulled to safety with minimum injury.

Today, Haiti remains unstable and its educational system has been greatly impacted by past violence and the recent earthquake.

A nationwide assessment conducted in March 2004 showed that the political conflict in Haiti has had a severe impact on Haiti’s children, particularly the most vulnerable.
